Thank you for engaging with us at the NACC Digital Bootcamp Workshop! Below are the action items you can implement RIGHT NOW to keep your social media engine running!

1. Invite your audience into a conversation with your brand.

First, listen to the digital landscape by keeping an eye on those hashtags and when your brand or competitors are mentioned. Then, engage purposefully in a timely manner and interact with community members to build rapport. Finally, maintain the open dialogue and don’t drop off from the conversation.

2. Stand out and remember it’s the small details that excite people and help you build loyal brand ambassadors.

Some ways to accomplish this are by creating a unique experience in your physical environment or by emotionally connecting and sharing your unique business story to set yourself apart.

3. Focus on creating content that entertains, educates, inspires, and delights your audience.

Remember, your audience will benefit from content that is on-brand and thoughtfully designed. Be confident with mixing up your content to include graphics, animations, and videos. Be sure to designate a healthy frequency of posting so you add value rather than clutter to the digital world.

4. Community truly is the new marketing. Understand that when you grow your community, you are more likely to grow your business tenfold.

Storytelling will allow people to connect with your brand on a deeper level with the goal to allow them a “stake” in your business emotionally. Promote your content through brand ambassadors who can sing your praises and offerings for you, and be sure to nurture this community by throwing in a thank you here and there!

5. Quality over quantity will create meaningful social media content that doesn’t overwhelm your audience.

Construct a content calendar a month in advance for a high-level overview of what you should be promoting and adding personal posts when necessary. Remember, people like people so show them the human side of the business. Finally, commit to a good quantity of posts each week for you, a great place to start is 3 posts/week.
